Beautiful weekend!!!

Well- we sold 5 puppies yesterday- one lady came and got our runt- then an hour later she came back and bought another- and brought her friend who bought one! They both have had blue-heelers before, and know just how great they are!!! Then two pups went to friends- and there are 2 left- one is going to Mark's friend who lives in Saginaw- so he's coming to get him next weekend- and that just leaves one more to sell!! Pretty good, considering they're just now 6 weeks old- and the ad in the paper is going to run one more week!!!
Mark and I went to a Japanese Hibachi grill in Wichita Falls last night- had saki and filet minon, and red snapper- YUMMY!!! Still have enough to eat during the game!!! We are installing our new kitchen sink and faucet today as well!!! We MUST be done before the cowboys start though... I LOVE me some Cowboys!!!
Mark is in the music room playing his aoustic right now- wish you could all hear him- I love it when he sings- he is my personal ROCKSTAR!!!
I love the weekends...
Well- I'm gonna go give my little parrot a shower now- also have to glue 60 'Vote for Maddie' labels onto mini candy bars- she is running for class president this week- she started campaigning last week , she hung small posters- tomorrow she's hanging giant posters (Brad designed them on his computer, and PawPaw Chris printed them for her)- they are AWESOME!!! She also has stickers for the kids to wear on their jackets- she's saving those for election day!!! Good luck MAD!!!
Will keep ya posted!

Fall is in the air...

I love this weather- just wish it would stay like this- I HATE winter, I freeze and I get mad, and all I want to do is sit under a blanket on the couch- I become a couch-potato in the winter, and my house suffers and so do I. And I get depressed... so it's hard to enjoy the fall, knowing what is coming next. I'm hoping we can get my tanning bed up and running, it's supposed to help with seasonal depression, if I just lie in it for a few minutes a week... we shall see... any who- I got some fall decor yesterday, and we dressed up our front porch, fireplace mantle, and dining room table. I bought alot of funky little gourds and pumpkins for the inside, and some corn stalks that we tied to the porch posts. And you probably can't tell, but the pumpkin on the little table by the front door is a Cinderella pumpkin- it was $10, and I can't believe I spent that much, but it is beautiful. I might have to put in on my coffee table, so I can see it all the time. This week is homecoming, and Maddie was on a float yesterday in the parade. Everyday this week she has dressed up - Cammo day she wore Mark's uniform and cap- then pajama day- floatation device day; she wore a baby float around her waist- today is 80's day- I've had fun helping her get all dressed up this week. I'm bummed I haven't thought to take pics- DANG IT!!! I hope all is well with my peeps reading this - love you all!!!

XOXOXOX

Maddie is ROCKIN' the BIG '80's hair today... I had the EXACT hair style- back in the day- it's grodie to the max dude!!!

OUR WEEKEND!

Well, we had another great weekend with the kids. Chance and Wyatt were here as were Sofie and Victoria. Tyler had a "must attend" birthday party to go to. You know, social status is everything at 16! Maddie, well, she bounced in and out the whole time. She's very busy as well! I picked the boys up around 10:00 on Sat morning after I got off work. We stopped in Muenster and bought summer sausage and smoked cheese! Not much left of that. Hung out Sat afternoon and goofed off. Sat night we went to a wedding reception for our friend Pat and her new husband, Ramoldo. We took our guitar, played and sang a few songs for them. Finished goofin' off later that night. Fell asleep on the couch and woke up around daylight with an aching back. Not as flexible as I used to be...don't laugh! Wyatt wanted to go fishing so I woke him up and we ventured into the wilds to catch our food. Bought a dz goldfish for bait. Caught nothing but had a blast shootin the breeze and spending one on one time. Wyatt stayed with my mom and Cap'n Ron to visit and ended up goin fishin again with Ron. He caught a 2 pound bass and let it go. Wyatt and I came home and he and the girls(who were dyin for him to get back!) went into the music room and did karaoke. Very cute! Chance and I got the pressure washer out and washed my truck. Then it was dinner time! Sour Cream enchiladas from scratch. That's how WE roll!! Everybody had a good meal and we played HIGH-LOW. It's a game we play every night at dinner. No cell phones, no computer or TV. Just good, old fashioned family conversation. If you are not familiar with HIGH-LOW, you take turns around the table. Everyone tells their high point of the day and their low point also. It really keeps everyone involved in each others' lives. Old fashioned, I know, but it dang sure works. The girls really look fwd to it and we say grace, laugh, love and enjoy each other as a family should. Hopefully, this will carry over to their families!

LOVE AND HAPPINESS,
MARK

School Days...

Well, three weeks of school behind us. We're getting into a schedule again; homework, dinner, pack lunches for the next day, bath, bedtime story, bible story, night-night time...then Mommy-Daddy time ~wink~ These pictures I've posted are the past few weeks: rodeo, Tyler's football game, Mad's volleyball game, school bus coming home; just some random things of what's going on here in Bowie...

What a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

This set of pictures was taken by Clay Mcdonald, Mark's best-friend, since they were 9-yrs-old. 'Thank you Clay- we love them, and are so thankful to have a talented friend like you in the family!!!' Clay has such a beatiful voice, and plays the guitar almost as good as Stevie Ray!

That's Clay...

MAC... BFFE

Wow, what a great birthday! Hands down, the best b-day in 37 yrs! Not kiddin'. Special thanks to my wonderful wife for planning, organizing and hosting the 37th annual "Birdshot Birthday Bash"! She had all the "heavy hitters" here. Just a side note for all of you "non-music" types, when a band plays a "gig",(lots of quotes, I know...just bare w/ me) usually they only play for 45 minutes and then take a break. Altogether, a band will play for 3 hrs, give or take.
Saturday night, we played & sang a variety of songs for 8 solid hrs!!! MARATHON GIG!!!! It was only because we enjoy each other's company as well as each other's music. For me, it wasn't only a birthday party, it was a reunion. Family and friends came from far away just to be w/ me! People I haven't had the pleasure of being in the same room with in a very long time was just very humbling for me. To think that other human beings actually care that much for me or that they would drive up to 2 hrs to be here AND give gifts, just astounds me!
We played, sang, ate and DRANK, laughed, loved, bitched, moaned, learned and lived with each other in that moment...or moments. Altogether, it was the best birthday/reunion that I have ever had the pleasure of being a part of!
To all that came and all that at least called and wished they could've made it...I love all of you. You guys made me realize what it truly is to be a good/great human being! Thanks to all of you...especially my gorgeous wife who never gives up on me and never stops believing or loving me. Without her, none of this would have been possible. The BLOG would have been empty! Thank her, not me.
I love you all and wish everyone the only thing I want out of life(my motto for all of my days!)...

'Love and Happiness'
Mark
