Trick Or Treat!!!!

This was one of the busiest, most fun weekends, I have had in a long time...

FRIDAY: Mark and I took the day off, and had Date-DAY! First I had to make Halloween costumes. Then we went shopping for new clothes for our date- checked into our hotel suite in Ft. Worth (with jacuzzi in the room), enjoyed that for awhile-took a shuttle to P.F.Changs in Sundance Square, had appetizers and martinis- walked over to the Bass Hall for 'Tuna Does Vegas'- walked over to Razzoo's for more appetizers and cocktails- ended up at Pete's Piano Bar (the best part of the night)- then took a cab back to the room. WHEW!!! What an exciting night- it was like a mini-vacation!!!
SATURDAY: Breakfast at the hotel- it was really good; back to the room to enjoy jacuzzi again ~wink~ - off to Lowe's and WalMart- then back home. I drove to Brad's to get the little girls- went back to my house to get them ready for Trick or Treat night. Neither of them had seen their costumes before then, they were so excited and thrilled to get dressed up. Mamu drove us through town and we rode in the back of her truck- met up with Brad later and he took the girls for the night. Then Mark, Clay , and Amy (Clay's GF) came back from his house and Clay drove us to Wichita Falls for dinner and a game of pool. I am exhausted at this point... and... just... wanted... to... lie... down...- but I had a Coke and played some pool and that was that...
SUNDAY: Can't get out of bed- Mark woke me up at 10 with coffee, told me the game starts at noon, and not 3 like we had thought... So we had not much time to get ready, and prepare food for the game. My mom, Mark's mom and step dad came over- COWBOYS WON!!! YAY!!! YAY!!! YAY!!! We had rib-eyes, baked sweet potatoes, yellow squash, garlic toast, red wine- we sat outside with the flies and had a wonderful time... I was so overly tired- you know when a baby has missed it's nap, and it's way past bed-time, and they get the giggles over everything? That was me last night- I laughed so hard at America's Funniest Videos that I almost peed my pants, and tears were streaming down my face, and Mark was looking at me like I had lost my mind... I had...
MONDAY: At work today- got a good-nights' sleep- overslept by an hour- pony-tail day... keep thinking about our weekend- can't wait to do it again...
I have better pics of the costumes my mom took with her camera- will post soon- I took these with my phone- just to be able to post some with my blog entry...

My heart is overflowing...

This Sunday morning, I'm sitting at the computer, while everyone is still in bed- except for Wyatt and Mark- they left at 6am to go fishing...and I am so full of love for my kids ...Yesterday I took them to Wichita Falls for some shopping, dinner, and a movie. Mark, Tyler and Chance stayed home; Wyatt, Sofie, and V are in the backseat, and Maddie and I in the front- Maddie never turned the radio on- instead she told me about the bible-study she and her friend Tori started at school. She asked a teacher, Mrs. Richie, that also goes to our church, if it would be okay to have a meeting in her classroom every Wednesday, during lunch. Last week about 13 kids came, and Maddie and Tori talked about the lesson they had learned the previous Sunday. The next Wednesday, about 28 kids showed up! I didn't even know about this until yesterday!!! I am in shock...Maddie told me how she's been praying for, and with so many kids, and telling them about Jesus. Maddie's boyfriend, Anthony, has really been encouraging her to share 'His Promise'. It's true- when peers encourage each other- it's just so much more powerful than an adult doing it. And Maddie told me she is so happy she has ME to talk to about all of this- I AM THE HAPPY ONE!!! I wasn't where she is, spiritually, until about age 25. I was bubbling over.

And!!!! Sofie was also saved last Sunday in her Sunday school class- she's 8 1/2 now; she cried afterwards during service. I asked her why she was crying . She said "I don't know..." I told her sometimes when we are being touched by God- it makes us cry because he is right there with us at that moment and we are overwhelmed with love and joy... she agreed- she wants to be baptized soon, and Maddie wants to do it with her.

Little Victoria, 6 1/2, also has such a sweet, tender, heart- during the movie, a little chihuahua was lost in the city, all alone, cold, and crying... I looked at Victoria and she had BIG tears falling down her face... she looked up at me and said 'that is sooooo sad'. I didn't cry over a movie until age 10- I remember vividly, being at E.T., and crying my eyes out- thinking to myself- wow, I'm crying over a movie?!
So, this weekend my heart is just full... I'm enjoying it- thanking God for all the wonderful blessings in my life.... the boys are here- we all love them so much, and really enjoy them being here- we'll be doing lots of cooking today- watching the Cowboys- enjoying the beautiful weather...and each other...

Much love to all of you reading this...

Fall Fest at WRHS!!!

At work today, we had our annual Fall Fest Celebration. The hospital throws us a party for employee appreciation. We had 23 departments enter the pumpkin contest. The women in my office and I came up with the spider nurse and her patients. All 8 arms are doing something different- that's how WE roll...I made the face from clay, and Mark helped me with the headstone sign. And the ghost, Sofie made. They fed us sausage, kraut, chicken, roasted corn-on-the-cob, kettle corn, caramel apples. It was fun- Mark got to come eat with me.

Deer Camp...

Mark's BFF, Clay, has around 350 acres in Nocona, and Mark, his cousin Blake, and Clay have been so busy getting their camp set up for deer season. Blake brought his son, Colton, to deer camp for the first time EVER- cammo and all- he is so cute. He is 9 yrs-old, and he got to practice shooting this past weekend. Deer season starts Nov. 1, and I am going to my BFF, Yolanda's house for the weekend! I am super-excited- haven't got to hang with her in a very long time...
