Can't leave out Sofie and V...
This past few days- the two little ones have been busy little bees. They took it upon themselves to get a little lunch-sack and decorate it for our Ms. Bettye, our sweet neighbor- the one that we traded homes with. Anyway- they each decorated their sack and went around the house trying to find things to stuff their bags with for Ms. Bettye's Christmas gift. They put in cookies, chocolates, pictures they colored, and more candy. Then they ran them over to her house!! So cute- they were gone awhile, and they came back with the artwork they had done at her house- and a bag of home-made peanut brittle!!! We just love her!
They've done the same thing for their teachers as well- all on their own- they are givers!!! I am truly in awe at the caring hearts my girls have... I have to thank their Gigee (Brad's Mom) for taking them to Sunday school every Sunday, and teaching them so much about Jesus' love.

Amazed by Madison...
I just had to blog about my precious Madison- she truly blew me away last night. She was on the phone, and I heard her saying over and over, "Jesus loves you, I love you, and I am praying for you, don't give up." This went on for awhile, and after she got off the phone she told me that it was one of her best friends. She talks about her often because she worries about her. The girl's father went to prison a few months ago, then her house burned down; and she is living in a small trailer with an aunt, an uncle, grandparents- there are 11 people in that thing- and she sleeps on the floor. Madison went into her room and took about 10 shirts out of her closet- she put them in a box with some lotions, bath beads- she made her a card that she let me read- it was so touching and uplifting- I helped her wrap it all up with a big bow... I hugged and kissed my beautiful daughter- told her how proud I am to have her- how tender-hearted she is- how she is being such a great friend and that her prayers for this friend are a true gift. I am just so humbled by her - and feel truly blessed to have all we have- a beautiful home, healthy children, healthy marriage, christian love, fellowship and prayer daily with our children and their friends, great careers- it was Christmas come early for me... Thank you Madison for your gift to your friend and for touching my heart- that's better than any gift you could ever buy... I love you baby.

6 days left...
I can't believe Christmas is so close... My shopping is 95% done!! Wasn't too awfully hard- when you have 7 kids to buy for- you can't buy that much!!! Mark & I made a promise to each other to wait until Valentine's Day to exchange gifts!! I thought that was a good plan- with the new house - vet bills- Mark taking time off to recover from the wisdom teeth drama- it just really adds up quick!!! So this year- we just buy for the kids- that's' IT! Everyone else will get a card with our picture on it- and I think that should suffice- you all understand- right? I do feel a bit guilty not getting the girls more toys- but they didn't really ask for much- and they like books more anyway- so that makes it easy... They are so sweet- they would rather me read to them, or sit and play a puzzle or board game with them, than play with toys. Christmas Eve I am going to let them make gingerbread cookies- and sugar-cookies -in every shape imaginable!!! The house will be a wreck- but who cares!!?? We are going to have fun-dammit! And then hot chocolate by the fire- It sounds like a fairy-tale doesn't it- I'll probably be guzzling wine half-way through the ginger-bread dough ~wink~ I will be sure and post pics of our day!!! Anyone wanna join in the fun- come on over!!! byob ;)

Update...
Just wanted to update on the kiddos... Mark is feeling alot better- still fighting the sinus infection, but his spirits are high. And my little Chloe-bug!!! She is doing so great!!! She's living in our bathroom- she has a little bed in there, and she's been so good- going peepee on her paper!! She is gaining her weight back- she loves the cottage cheese now- guess she just had to get her appetite back. And we also give her boiled chicken and rice- she devours it in about 30 seconds. She is such a sweet baby- she doesn't whine or howl, or bark or anything- i just love her!!! Wish my kids were that good! ~wink~

Heart-breaking weekend...
When I got home Friday, my new puppy Chloe was not herself- very listless, and not eating. We brought her in and watched her, and by morning she was having bloody diarrhea , and looked very shrivled up/dehydrated- skin and bones- so I rushed her to the vet, and she tested positve for PARVO!!!! The vet said puppies that are vaccinated can still get parvo, I didn't know that. So we had to give boosters to all the other dogs, sterilize EVERYTHING and pray the she made it throught the weekend! She only had about a 40% chance; she had almost no white-blood cells left, her electrolytes were critically low, her temp was 96 (supposed to be 101). So the Dr. put her on iv fluids, antibiotics, and nutrition and told us not to get our hopes up- that it would take 3-4 days to know if she would pull through. Got updates throughout the weekend that she was doing about the same- and this morning the Dr. said when she went in to check on her, Chloe had pulled out her IV from bouncing all over the place- she was bright-eyed - she gobbled up the food they gave her and is drinking lots of gatorade!! So if she keeps the food down, and no more diarrhea- we can bring her home today!!! I am so happy!! She will have to stay in our room, away from the other dogs for 3 wks to build up her immunity. She's going to get very spoiled!
The other stressful part of my weekend was taking care of Mark- he had his wisdom teeth cut out and was in alot of pain- and one of the teeth was so far impacted that the dentist hit Mark's sinus cavity and now he thinks he has a sinus infection- plus he cannot blow his nose for 2 wks - so he has been in misery. So you can read- we need lots of prayers...
On a lighter note- the little girls had their Christmas program last night- it was so adorable!!! They sang and danced- too cute!! Sofie was in the choir, and Victoria was an angel in the Nativity. It was so sweet, I almost cried...If I knew how to post a video clip I would ;(
