Our new home...
This is our new home. We have so much work to do; it sits on about and acre and a quarter and it all needs work; It's a good thing we like to work in the yard- or it could get really expensive! tree trimming, flower-bed cleaning, needs new plantings and sticker removal- YIKES! We have a shop out back big enough for the 4-wheelers, riding mower, and all Mark's tools. It has a dog pen for our big dogs- we have a pair of Blue-heelers; (Sissy and Pepper) they had a litter of 10 this past spring- 8 survived and we sold them all in 2 days!! Then we have Peewee, my little Chi-Rat, or Rat-Cha; (I've seen it both ways) , and we just got him a girlfriend 2 months ago, her name is Chloe. We also have a full Chihuahua, named Crystal. We got her for Wyatt, our 11-yr-old. He has severe asthma, and we've been hearing that chihuahuas can help with breathing; willing to try anything to help him out. When she's fully potty-trained, Crystal will go to live with him! I will miss her so much- she is a sweetheart!!

My Rockstar!
Mark is practicing his music right now- he is playing, and I am singing tomorrow night at a Halloween party! Mark's brother, Todd, has a band, and we get to sit in with them from time to time. I will post pics of this weekend soon, it's a costume party- they should be a hoot!
Okay- here's one pic I tok with my phone- I'll have more soon- but we went as Kat Von D and her boyfriend Orbi!! She is one of the best tattoo artists in the world, and I just think she's beautiful and super cool! In a different life, I think I could've been a tattoo artist:)
We are moved!!!
Well, we're all moved in, but we are NOT at all unpacked or organized; and it's driving me CRAZY!!! We have been doing a little each night, but with the kids homework, and cooking dinner, and going to bed early because Mark gets up at 3am- it's been kinda hard to get anything done. And then- yesterday, we woke up to a very cold house- NO HEAT- the repairman is coming today to check it out- thankfully we have a home warranty- so the service call is only $60. I hope the furnace gets completely replaced, and not just repaired, because the dang thing is 45 yrs old!!! Scary!! But we do love our new home- there is so much more room- and the fireplace is AWESOME! And my walk-in closet rocks! Can't wait to have a party so everyone can come see it! The house, not my closet. ~wink~ By the way- Madison got 7th grade representative!!! We campaigned very hard. She also won 3rd place in a talent show Wednesday at school for a comedy skit. She was a nerd- not a far stretch - I know. Hope everyone is having a great week- have a great weekend!!!

Victoria Grace, my 5-yr-old!!
glitter-graphics.com
Victoria is definitely the baby in our family. And she's not afraid to let anyone know it either. V, as we call her, is the most lovey-dovey one of them all, and she loves to sit in any lap that will hold her. She started kindergarten this year, and she has the same teacher Sofie did, so she was very excited to already know Mrs. Andrews. When V is on her horse, she has no inhibitions!!! Kicking the entire time, trying to make her old horse run; but he just walks around those barrels as she waves to the crowd!! The last few races, she's gone all alone, without Maddie leading her, so now she feels like a STAR!!! Victoria might grow up to be an entertainer of some sort- she loves to get up in church and sing- (we can always hear her over everyone else), and she's not afraid of a solo either. And let me tell you, this little ball of fire can dance like a Solid Gold Dancer!!! (showing my age here) Don't know where she learned THAT!! ~wink~

Sofie Belle, my 7-yr-old!
Sofie Belle is 7, and she is in the 2nd grade. Sofie was born with severe hip-dysplasia and had to wear a full-body brace until she was 6-months old, ( I will have to find a picture of that). She had to have multiple fittings a month. We would drive an hour and a half one-way to get there. It was one of the hardest things I ever had to go through. I couldn't even cuddle my new-born. She could be out of it for 1 hr a day- and that was for bathing and washing the nasty harness!! We were worried she would never be able to run, or dance. But let me tell you- that Sofie Belle has the best cart-wheel and round-off you've ever seen! And she can run faster than anyone on her soft-ball team. Her Grandpa Ed would get tears in his eyes every time he got to see her run the bases. She wants to be a cheerleader, like her big sister, and I can already see that she has the moves. Her favorite thing to do is to get us to go outside and sit on the porch so she can perform for us!! She reads to her little sister, Victoria, and she loves to draw and color. She also still sucks her thumb, as one can guess by looking at her teeth! It's just so hard to make them quit. Maddie sucked hers until she was 7, so I wasn't worried about Sofie, but she's going on 8 and no signs of slowing. Sofie also is very involved in horseback riding and barrel racing. She's not as brazen as Victoria, but she can hold her own. Sofie loves to draw, color, and ride her bike! She just recently learned how without trianing wheels!! I taught her!!! Only took about 2 afternoons!!
Paige, my 17-yr-old!
Paige is my sister-in-law, but she lives with us and has become one of my babies too!! She is a senior, and we are so excited she is going to stay with us and attend NCTC in Bowie to get her basics and after that, she wants to go to college to study photography. She has a real gift. She is a great help around the house and a very good role-model for our girls. We love to dance and sing, and she loves to ride the 4-wheelers!! She got to have the biggest room in the house; she is so proud of her room, and she deserved to have it too!!! Pics to come.....
My cheerleader , Maddie (she's in front!)
Madison is my 7th grader; she is very active in sports. She is in volleyball, cheerleading, cross-country, and barrel-racing. She starts basketball next week!! I take her to school between 6:30 and 7 most mornings, and she stays after school until about 5 each evening. Last night we made 75 posters and 80 name tags for her to run for class representative. She was class rep last year, and we hope she gets it again!! This is a very busy little girl. We are so very proud of her. She placed 35th at the World Barrel Racing Finals in Jackson, Miss. in July. She has placed in the top 20 in all of her cross-country meets. And the v-ball team has won the last 6 games we've played. And of course I think she is the best dancer on her cheer squad, but I may be a bit biased. Enough braggin on her for now, I need to get some info up about my other kiddos too!!!

Moving!!
The family moved this past weekend- and let me tell you; it was the hardest thing I think physically, I have ever done!!! And we still aren't finished! It's a funny story actually; my neighbor, across the street, Ms. Betty, is 80 yrs. young. She lived in this house for 45 yrs. Her husband passed 2 yrs ago, and she has been wanting a smaller house. As everyone knows, Mark and I have 7 kiddos between us, so we've been needing a bigger house- so guess what- we traded!!!! Literally- we moved one room out- she moved one in; so on and so on- all weekend- it was exhausting!!! But we are almost done- and we are so very happy with our new home- and so is she!!! Plus we already know we will love our new neighbors!!! I will be posting pics of the new house soon!!!
